Mom was a housewife and a stay at home mother. Her greatest pride and joy were her 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She missed her English home and family and after 18 years of marriage she finally returned home for a visit. She was fortunate to return home at least 5 more times. The last time she returned home was when she was 85 years old with her daughter.
Eleanor was a member of the Alberta War Brides Association. She loved getting together with the girls, talking about home and the social events the AWB offered.
