MR. LOUIS ZENTNER, beloved husband of Mrs. Dorothea Zentner, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the age of 93 years.
Besides his loving wife Dorothea, Louis is survived by his three children; Edward (Paulette) Zentner and their children Chadron (Sarah Brown) Zentner and Adam (Diana) Zentner; Caroline Zentner and her daughters Nicole, Robin and Heather Boschman; and Melina (Scott) Warnock all of Lethbridge.
He was predeceased by his infant son Thomas.
Louie was born and raised on the Zentner homestead near Govenlock, Saskatchewan. He always said he arrived by general delivery. He farmed and ranched until 1977 when the family moved to Maple Creek. In his semi-retirement he worked at Cypress Lodge as a caretaker for many years. Louie & Dorothea moved to Lethbridge in 1997 where Louie enjoyed playing cards, bingo and floor curling at the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization.
Louie loved to tell stories about the old days and he always had a good joke. He was an avid bridge player and his favourite treat was a bowl of vanilla ice cream.
A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 7:00 P.M.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 917 – 4th Avenue South, Lethbridge on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Tim Boyle Celebrant.
Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

MRS. META EVA ZILLA, beloved wife of the late Mr. Gustav Zilla, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the age of 88 years.
Meta is survived by three daughters; Elsie (Simon) Kalau of Lethbridge, Adel Kutzner (Leo Salsman) of Trail, B.C. and Heidi (Kost) Menzak of Lethbridge, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and nephew Horst (Monica) Zilla of Medicine Hat and his family.
She was predeceased by her parents August and Maria, husband Gustav, a sister and a brother.
Born, raised and educated in Germany, Meta was married to Gustav Zilla in 1937 and together they came to Canada in 1953, settling in Stirling. They moved to Lethbridge in 1970. Meta remained at home looking after their family. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making many quilts and sweaters. Crosswords, puzzles and her garden were all favourite pastimes.

A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Richard Brown officiating.
Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
