RIEDIGER, MARGARET
1919-2010
On Thursday, August 26, 2010 our very special and much loved Aunt, MARGARET RIEDIGER of Coaldale, went to meet her Savior at the age of 91 years.

Margaret was born in Russia on August 24, 1919, the 15th and youngest child of Peter and Katharina Riediger. In 1926, she, with her family, immigrated to Canada, arriving in Acme, AB. After a brief time in the Sunnyslope area, they moved to the Oxley Ranch west of Stavely and later to a farm near Vauxhall. In 1948 Margaret moved once more with her parents to Coaldale, where she resided until her passing.

Margaret was committed to her Lord, devoted to her family, and actively involved in her church and community. Much of Margaret’s life was devoted to caring for others – her parents, family members, friends – all who crossed her path and needed a “lift”. For the family, she was the glue that held us together, keeping us connected to our roots and to one another.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings and their spouses.

Left to cherish her memory are their families who were all her family; the family of Katharina and Johann Esau, the family of Elizabeth and David Unruh, the family of David and Neta Riediger, the family of Jacob and Sarah Riediger, the family of Maria and Jacob Enns, the family of Anna and John Reimer, the family of Helen and Jack Osborne, the family of Susie and Henry Reimer – over 500 who proudly and lovingly called her “Aunt Margaret”.

She will also be keenly missed by her many dear friends and by the community that she has been a part of for over 60 years.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the COALDALE MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH, 2114 – 18th Street, Coaldale, AB., on Friday, September 3, 2010 from 12:00 to 1:30 P.M.

Interment to follow at the Coaldale Mennonite Cemetery with a Memorial Service scheduled at the Church at 3:00 P.M.
