UNGER, NICK
1918-2010
It is with loving regret and gentle relief that the family announces the passing of NICK UNGER at the age of 91 years. He passed away peacefully at the Coaldale Health Centre early Monday morning.

Nick was born in Swatwa, Russia on September 26, 1918. He came to Canada with his family at the age of eight. They originally lived in Ontario, then Saskatchewan but later moved to Coaldale, where Nick’s father farmed.
Nick married Tena Florence Penner on November 3, 1940. Nick and Tena farmed north of Coaldale and raised their 6 children there.

Nick loved the land and continued to check the crops and the goings-on out in the country well into his retirement. They loved their country retirement home and continued the love for farming with large gardens and many flower beds.
Nick’s health deteriorated and he was moved into the Coaldale Health Centre, where he spent the last years of his life.

He will forever be in the hearts and memories of his family; son Harold (Alice) Unger, deceased daughter Norma Kathleen VanRyn, daughter Beverly Unger (Blake Holtman), daughter Connie Zerger (Gordon Pengilly), daughter Elaine Unger-Pengilly (Doug Pengilly) and son Allen (Lana) Unger, loving grandchildren; Darren (Joanne) Unger, Lana (Gary) Tomasta, Karen (Mark) Babick, Michael Morden (Traci Derhak), Cindy (Chris) Dewsbery, Jason VanRyn (Tyna Gaudreheault), Nick Pengilly, Skyler Pengilly and Daly Unger, great-grandchildren; Cole and Jordan Unger, Toni Tomasta, Zack and Reid Morden, Braden and Justin Dewsbery, Michael VanRyn and Tyona and Anthony Geudreault.

The family wishes to thank all those who cared for Nick during his lengthy stay in the Coaldale Health Centre and those who visited.

Family are invited to pay their respects at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB., on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 7:00 – 8:00 PM.

Following a Private Family graveside service at the Coaldale Mennonite Cemetery, a Memorial Service will be held at the COALDALE MENNONITE CHURCH, 2316 – 17th Street, Coaldale, AB, on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Manfred Boller and Pastor Gerald Klassen officiating.

UTTLEY, JAMES HERBERT
1926-2010
MR. JAMES HERBERT “DIAMOND JIM” UTTLEY of Lethbridge, passed away at home on Friday, April 2, 2010 at the age of 83 years.

Jim was born in Stettler, Alberta on December 23, 1926. He is the loving father of Roy Uttley of Whitecourt, AB, Darrell Uttley (Kathy) of Whitecourt, AB, Adam Uttley (Holly) of Calgary, AB and Shelley Terpstra (Tim) of Pincher Creek, AB. He will be greatly missed by his 8 Grandchildren, Bryce, Kyle, Evan, Garrit, Kaylee, Nicolais, Brandt and Serena. Jim is survived by his sisters Fay and Lois and was predeceased by his Parents Samuel and Whilhemina (Mina) his brother Leonard (Gordon) and sister Marjorie.

A Memorial Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. with Deacon Frank Peta officiating.

MRS. KIMBERLY GAYLE UYTDEWILLIGEN
1963-2009
Kim Uytdewilligen, born June 20, 1963, passed away at home on Sunday, December 27, 2009 after a valiant effort for life.

Kim was a compassionate, and thoughtful woman who loved her family, friends and animal companions. She had a passion for travel, cooking and entertaining and held a black belt in shopping. She loved family vacations with "her boys", Andrew and Ryan. Kim fought many health problems in her 46 years, and handled them with courage and grace. She will be sadly missed by the many people whose lives she touched.

It is with our heaviest hearts and deepest sorrow, she leaves to mourn, her loving husband and best friend, Andrew, her son Ryan, parents Keith and Leona Dalgliesh (Lethbridge), and sister Karen (John) Schneyder (Magrath). Kim is also survived by her extended family, father-in-law, Cornelius Utydewilligen, and sisters and brother-in-laws, Harriet (Tom) Evans (Beaumont, AB), Joanne (Peter) Coldham (Calgary, AB), Ken (Serena) Uytdewilligen (Lethbridge, AB), Jackie (Dave) Reich (Beaumont, AB), Margaret (Kevin) Munchrath (Beaumont, AB), Mike (Patti Bogdan) Uytdewilligen (Lethbridge, AB), and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Francis Uytdewilligen.

A Prayer Service will be held at ST. AMBROSE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1513 – 23rd Avenue, Coaldale, AB. on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. with Reverend Tomy Manjaly and Reverend Mr. Ray Wagner officiating.

A Celebration of Kim and her life will take place at COLLEGE DRIVE COMMUNITY CHURCH, 2710 College Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Tomy Manjaly and Reverend Mr. Ray Wagner officiating. Cremation to follow.

FRANCIS UYTDEWILLIGEN
1933 - 2008
Francis Adriana Uytdewilligen (Cis), beloved wife of Cornelius, of Coaldale, passed away at the St. Michael's Palliative Care Unit on Sunday, October 19th, 2008 at the age of 74 years. She is the loving Mother and Oma of Harriet (Tom) Evans, Katie and Leanne, of Beaumont; Joanne (Peter) Coldham, Karen and David of Calgary; Andrew (Kim) Ryan of Coaldale; Ken (Serena), Lucas of Lethbridge; Jackie (Dave) Reich, Nick, Ben, and Emily of Beaumont; Margaret (Kevin) Munchrath, Rebecca, Sarah, Camryn of Beaumont; and Michael of Coaldale. She is also survived by her sisters Johanna (John) Machielse of Coaldale; Ad (Jan) Vande Burght of Holland; and her brothers Kees Vergouwen and Jan (Corry) Vergouwen in Holland. She is predeceased by her mother and father. Francis passed away peacefully after a very brief battle with cancer. She was born in Oudenbosch, Holland, on December 7, 1933. Francis met and married Cornelius in Holland, then moved to Canada in 1959 and settled in the Coaldale area. They farmed and raised a family of 7 children. She was a very active member of St. Ambrose Parish, the St. Ambrose CWL, the Rosary Guild and Lethbridge Soup Kitchen. She was a tireless volunteer for anyone in need and was very generous with her time and talents. She loved her garden, flowers, chickens and large family gatherings. She will be sadly missed by many people whose lives she touched. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on 4B, 4C at the LRH, FMC and St. Michael's Palliative Care Unit, Dr. John Geers, Dr. Lee, Dr. Siem for their compassionate care and support through this difficult time. Relatives and Friends are invited to Prayer Services at ST. AMBROSE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1513-23rd Avenue, Coaldale, AB on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 7:00 P.M..
