I am very sorry to read on FACEBOOK of the passing of your Mother. I have wonderful memories of visiting her on the farm. One particular funny remembrance was the time I came from Vancouver because it was calving time [ probably March and cold ] and I had never seen a live calf birth. It was a windy day and I went out into the field and yes I did witness a birth! Aunt Jean had a good laugh and thought ‘that city gal is crazy’. I still use her sugar cookie recipe ! She had quite the reputation as a fantastic bun baker. I have a lot of fun memories of visiting and talking with Aunt Jean. I know she was a very loved Mother and you kids are all blessed to have had her as your Mom. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend her funeral as much as I would like to. Bill, my husband, is haviing major surgery that day, Nov 22, and of course my place is with him. I assume you girls will be singing various hyms that day; I do wish I could attend. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. I am so sorry for your loss. Dorothy and Bill Werbowski Nov 17 2023
