Grandma came to Canada as a war bride after the war either in late 1945 or 1946.  By that time, she had two children in tow and the boat ride on the Queen Elizabeth was rough!  Grandma loved her family and was known for her great cooking.  The best shortbread cookies ever were her specialty, along with great Christmas dinners; or just about anything else she served up.  She touched us all and our time with her was marvelous.  Her sense of humor was with her to the end.

Thank you to the Milk River Long-Term care staff for all they did for Grandma.  The care she received made her last years easier.  We are all grateful.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at ST. PAUL'S UNITED CHURCH, 201-2 Ave. N.E., Milk River, on Saturday, May 28th at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. Marion Martin officiating.  Peggy will be laid to rest in the Milk River Cemetery.  A time of fellowship & refreshments will follow at the Heritage Hall.

Flowers are acceptable, or contributions may be made to the Family & Resident Council or Milk River Long-Term Care.
