Entz, John

JOHN E. ENTZ, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, July 24, 2020 at the age of 82 years.

JOHN E. ENTZ, born December 31st, 1937, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 24th, 2020. The seventh of eleven children, John spent many years at New Elm Colony where he married his wife Emma in 1966, before moving to Ponderosa Colony in 1974. 

After accepting the Lord as his Saviour and giving his life to Him, John and Emma made the decision to move to Coalhurst, where they would go on to spend many happy years living their lives which had found new meaning and clarity through Jesus Christ. After Emma's passing in 2012, John moved to Lethbridge where he lived until moving once more to be with the Lord.

John was predeceased by his wife, Emma Entz (Coalhurst); his parents, Jacob and Elisabeth Entz (New Elm Colony); three brothers, Joe (Rebecca) Entz of Ontario, Paul (Helen) Entz of Coalhurst, and Jacob (Sara) Entz of New Elm Colony; as well as two sisters, Elisabeth Entz of Coalhurst, and Rachel (Henry) Entz of Ponderosa Colony.

Surviving him are three brothers; Peter (Magdalena) Entz of New Elm Colony, David (Julia) Entz of Lethbridge, and Samuel (Dorothy) Entz of Ontario; as well as two sisters, Mary (Elias) Entz of Coalhurst, and Anna (Jonathan) Waldner of Lethbridge.

John will be missed by all, including his numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many friends, as well as his church family whose lives he touched and impacted greatly.

John will be remembered for his willingness to help in any way that he could. Despite his quiet nature, he will also be remembered for his love of visiting and laughing with family and friends. John's knowledge and appreciation of the Word of God will be dearly missed to all those who he was a blessing to.

A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, on Tuesday, August 4th at 1:00 P.M., with Jesse Wipf officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:30 until service time.  John will be laid to rest at the Stirling Cemetery.  Due to current Covid-19 conditions, attendance is limited to 90 people.  Please wear a mask if possible.
