JERZY “GEORGE” KRASOWSKI, beloved husband of Danuta Krasowski; father to Adam and Marena and brother to Czeslaw, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at the age of 76 years. 

Born in Poland, George grew up during a very difficult time in a post war, communist occupied country. His thirst for knowledge earned him the State Economic School diploma and later, a Master Degree in law from the University of Silesia. The love for his country pushed him to fight for truth and freedom when he became a part of the Solidarity freedom movement. There, he was finally able to use his knowledge and experience to fight against the communist regime. In 1983, he and his family were forced to leave Poland and Canada became his new home. Throughout his life, never forgetting his polish roots, he remained active within the Polish Canadian community. 

He will be sorely missed by his family and friends in Canada, Poland and Greece. May he rest in peace. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 – 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Pawel Melczewski celebrating. 

Following the Funeral Mass, George will be laid to rest in Royal View Cemetery.
