ALICE (ALIDA) SLYWKA passed away peacefully on May 4, 2022 with her family by her side, after celebrating her 100th birthday in November.

ALICE (ALIDA) SLYWKA passed away peacefully on May 4, 2022 with her family by her side, after celebrating her 100th birthday in November.

She is the loving mother of Henry (Linda) Louwerse, Leo (Joanne) Louwerse, Judith Louwerse, John (Trish) Slywka, Tom (Diane) Slywka, MaryLou (Terry) Miechkota and has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Alice was predeceased by her loving husband Tom.

Born in The Netherlands in 1921, Alice was the eldest of 12 children and daughter of Hendrickus and Alida Van der Sloot. She immigrated to Canada in 1951, and lived in Saskatchewan and Alberta where she raised her children.

She is Mom, Oma, Grandma Old Dutch, Aunt and caring friend.

Alice enjoyed crafts, baking and gardening, and devoted most of her life to raising and caring for children.

Alice will be forever missed and always loved and remembered by all who knew her.

In honour of Alice's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
