Passed away at St. Michael's Health Centre, surrounded by his family, on Friday, July 22, 2022, MR. ROBERT WILLIAM TOTH, of Lethbridge formerly of Foremost, cherished husband of loving wife, Ada.

Dad was born in Jedburgh, Sask. on April 2, 1925 to John & Julia Toth, the youngest of six siblings. He was raised on the family farm and educated in the Jedburgh area where he also met and married the love of his life, Ada Horgus, a neighbour just down the road. Dad and Mom were married on April 11, 1956. The decision was then made to move to Alberta where Dad felt there would be more opportunities. They moved to southern Alberta and started farming in the Foremost area in 1958. Dad was a hardworking man. He worked from sunrise to sunset, always wanting to make sure that his farm was the best it could be. Whether he was doing chores, tinkering in the shop, working the land or hoeing in the garden, that was when he was the happiest. He didn't have time for hobbies; he would say there was always work to be done on the farm. Dad combined for the last time when he was 89 years old. It was his life and his legacy.

Dad and Mom bought their Lethbridge home in 1979. Many miles were travelled between Lethbridge and the farm. They were always making sure that the farm and their Lethbridge home were immaculate. They were their pride and joy, along with their family.

Dad loved music, whether it be country music or church hymns. In the past and especially the last couple of years, you would always hear him singing. With his love of music also came his love of dancing. Dad and Mom would dance from the first dance to the last, as long as the music was good. He used to say "music was the best medicine." Dad enjoyed visiting with friends, spending many hours laughing over a glass of Southern Comfort.

Dad and Mom were joined at the hip. They did everything together. Whether it was farming, gardening, chores, cleaning or Dad helping Mom with baking or cooking, his fingers were always there. He was a part of everything that happened. The whole has now become a half after 66 years - Mom will miss him dearly.

His greatest joys were his family and his farm.

Dad moved into St. Michael's Health Centre on June 30, 2022. Mom and his daughters were taking care of him until the time came when we felt he needed more care. Many memories were made during the 18 months that we took care of Dad, the hymns he sang and the prayers he said.

Dad will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Besides his cherished wife, Ada, Dad leaves to mourn his children: Gail (Keith) Jones of Lethbridge and their children, Scott (Pam) Jones of Kitchener, Ont. and Ashley (Justin) Reimer of Lethbridge and their children, Adalyn and Elliott; Donna (Tom) Trenerry of Lethbridge; Deb (Clint) Stankievech of Lethbridge and their son, Chase; and Bob (Geraldine) Toth of Foremost and their children, Brittany, Nicole (Cord) Sturtevant and their children, Quinn, Oaklyn and Ridley; and Brock Toth; his sisters-in-law, Esther Horgus, Elizabeth Lemchuk and Helen (Tony) Ziglo, all of Yorkton, Sask.; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Robert is predeceased by his parents, John & Julia Toth; his brothers, Gordon and Albert (in infancy), sisters, Margaret Molnar, Elizabeth Salamon, Lillian Gorchynski and Olga Toth; his mother- and father-in-law, Margaret & Steve Horgus; his brothers-in-law, Gustave Molnar, Andrew Salamon, Edward Gorchynski, Leslie Toth, Frank Lemchuk, Bert Horgus and Harold Horgus; his sister-in-law, Margaret Toth, and his nieces, Betty Nakaska, Beverley Bower and Janice Mehling; and his nephew, Richard Horgus.
