Nicholas Rabl

Support Staff

Nicholas proudly joined our team in January of 2015 with a strong desire to help others, and feels as though he's found a second home with the Cornerstone family.

Born and raised in Lethbridge, Nicholas already has a well-founded sense of community; through his activity at the curling rink as well as at Cornerstone, he’s had the opportunity to meet many new people. His family roots are purely Hungarian and he grew up in and around the Hungarian Cultural Society in town. He has also traveled to Hungary on a few of occasions to spend time with his late grandparents (d. 2019), as well as many other family and friends.

Though Nicholas isn’t fluent in Hungarian, he is  fully bilingual in French and English. He completed all of his schooling in the French Immersion program, and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 2013 with his French Diploma.

Nicholas was an accomplished competitive U-21 curler, having represented his home province at 2017 Junior Canadians in Victoria, BC and his home country at the 2017 VoIP Defender World Junior Curling Championships in Gangneung, South Korea. His stellar performance at Nationals (87% shooting accuracy through ten games) earned him the First Team All-Star Award at lead. On top of that, he was humbled to receive the Ken Watson Sportsmanship Award, voted by the players of the other provinces. Today, he has stepped aside from competitive curling and plays casually at the Lethbridge Curling Club.

Outside of his work and curling careers, Nicholas enjoys golfing, listening to music, watching sports and spending time with friends.

Nicholas brings a wide skill set to Cornerstone; from his up-to-dateness with technology, to his bright sense of humour, to his open-mindedness and new ideas, he is always trying to better himself and those around him. He loves what he does and strives to improve the service we provide on a daily basis.
