MARCELA ALAS, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit with family at her side, Friday, April 19, 2019 at the age of 67 years.

Funeral arrangements will be announced once completed.

Another year has gone by and this date has been forever imprinted in my brain. RIP Marcela. Your strength, smile and determination is never forgotten. So much has changed in which I know you know. Walk by faith not by sight, feelings or by loyalty. God knows all. May he receak the truth to those who are spiritually blind.

Your wisdom and words telling my 21 year old self, that one day I will see why my grandma was so strict on me has always stuck with me to this day which is 18 years later and how true it is and it boils down to love. Tough love. I remember your sweet smile and feeding me delicious papusa's. May your soul rest In Peace and Love in God's kingdom.
