Barbara leaves behind her children: Donald (Shelly), Michelle (David) and grandchild Daniel (Kayla), brother Ron (Audrey) King, sister-in-law Carol King and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Elisabeth King, her sisters Jean (Tony) Virginillo and Majorie (Hubert) Overes and brother William King Jr.

Mom enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards, visiting neighbours and making daily phone calls to connect with family and friends. Her and dad would enjoy their Monday outings to the casino (especially when they won) and would make the occasional trip to Vegas and Reno. Mom was known for her pasta sauce and homemade buns. She knitted Afghans, sweaters, scarfs and was sure to present new baby arrivals with her handmade gifts.

Mom and Dad were married for 55 years.

The family wishes to thank all who called to offer their condolences, along with their stories and favorite memories of mom. Also, heartfelt thanks to the staff at Edith Cavell Centre for the care and compassion they had for mom.
