Rempel-Groening, Brendon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brendon Ray Rempel at the age of 22 years. On November 18 – 2025 Brendon was on his way home from work and was involved in a motor vehicle accident.

Brendon was born March 20, 2003, to his parents Ben & Helen, who lived in Bolivia at the time.

In June 2004 Brendon’s parents moved to Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada. In October 2004 Brendon became a big brother to his sister Caleigh. In January 2008 another little boy, Jaxon was born, who became Brendon’s best friend.

At the age of 2 Brendon was dedicated to the Lord by his parents here on this stage.

At the age of 7 Brendon gave his life to Jesus, here at Victory, now Parallel Church.

In 2012 Brendon’s parents moved back to Bolivia. In 2018 Brendon’s family moved back to Canada to give their children a better future.

Brendon loved school and graduated high school at Immanuel Christian Secondary.

Brendon has served many Sundays preparing coffee and serving here in church.

Brendon grew up with a strong work ethic and lived a great example for his siblings and those around him.

Anyone who knew Brendon knew the joy that he brought to life. Always a smile on his face. Always ready to crack a joke and always welcomed us or anyone with wide open arms. He was literally a friend to everyone he met.

Brendon was a beloved son, brother, grandson and friend. His family meant everything to him and he cherished the time spent with them.

He leaves behind to mourn, his loving parents, Ben & Helen, sister Caleigh, brother inlaw Daniel, brother Jaxon, his girlfriend Fiona Callaghan & Grandma & Grandpa Groening. Many Aunts & Uncles and many cousins. Brendon has now joined his Grandma & Grandpa Rempel in heaven.

Brendon’s passing leaves a huge hole in everyone’s life that knew him.

His favourite verse was 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

The Celebration of Brendon’s life will be held at PARALLEL CHURCH, 1 mile east of Lethbridge on Hwy 3, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Kelly Stickel officiating. The Celebration of life will be live-streamed and may be viewed through Brendon’s obituary on the Cornerstone website.
