Goshinmon, Katie

Date of Service: July 1, 2022

PAULETTE KATE GOSHINMON - We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our Mom. With a small sense of relief, she is finally back with the one she loved the most…our dad. That didn't mean she loved us any less. She just missed him so much.

PAULETTE KATE GOSHINMON - We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our Mom. With a small sense of relief, she is finally back with the one she loved the most…our dad. That didn't mean she loved us any less. She just missed him so much.

Katie was born in Sackville, New Brunswick to Ernest and Gertrude Ormandy. Mom grew up with her siblings: Bill, Leonard, Jim, Christine and Charles as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins in New Brunswick.

Katie left home at an early age to start a life of her own. Mom met Dad while he was performing with the band "The Checkers" in Ontario. They fell in love and were married in Ottawa in 1963. They moved and started their family in Lethbridge.

Mom started working at Sears in a few departments until she landed in the Credit Department. She worked many years there until she needed a change. She ventured out to work at Perkins Realty and Block Bros. Realty, leading to working at the Real Estate Board, where she worked to retirement. After a few years of retirement, Mom went to work at Columbia Assisted Living for a few years. She loved the residents and staff.

Mom loved gardening, sewing, baking, cooking and crafting, especially for friends and family.

Katie leaves behind her precious daughters and their families: Darla, Ron, Victoria and Conner; Canako, Colin, Ricky and James; and Dawn, Kirk, Blake, Seth and Nicole; brothers Bill and Brenda and Jim and Sheila; sisters-in-law Diane and Pat, Marjorie, and Pauline; and great-granddaughters Kaydance and Bailey, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

We would like to thank the doctor and nurse who took care of mom when she was brought into the hospital.

As per Mom's wishes, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers and Koden, please make a donation to a charity or organization of your choice.
