WARREN A. BROWN suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on February 5, 2023, and subsequently died of a heart attack on Sunday, March 19, 2023, in Lethbridge, AB.

WARREN A. BROWN suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on February 5, 2023, and subsequently died of a heart attack on Sunday, March 19, 2023, in Lethbridge, AB.

He is survived by his wife Lana, his daughter Taylor, and many cousins.

He was born in Toledo, Ohio and spent the last half of his life in Tulsa, Oklahoma, until he and his wife Lana decided to take advantage of his Canadian citizenship and move to Alberta.

Warren worked as a technical writer, and was a poet, novelist, and short story writer. In the last few years, he had started to publish again, especially his poetry, and he was very excited to do so. Warren loved movies and music and books, good conversation, laughter, and helping people. His most specific wish at the time he passed was to improve his ability to use his left hand in order to put a new battery in Lana's watch. He loved to tinker and looked forward to fixing computers, televisions, old radios, and vacuum cleaners again. He would have loved seeing Everything Everywhere All at Once, and was looking forward to the new Philip Marlowe movie starring Liam Neeson.

He also loved his pets. From the two dogs he had when Lana met him, to the many cats that came and went, to his grand-dogs and -cats who live with Taylor, he communed with them and derived the greatest pleasure from their antics. The cremains of his beloved cat Greg, who died several years ago, will be mixed with his own. True story: if he wanted Greg to come sit on his lap, he would communicate telepathically with him, and it always worked. He was able to see his current cat Togar at the rehab center two days before he died, and participated in the excellent T-Town Quarantine Online Book Club on the day before he passed. On the day of his death, Lana was able to spend hours with him in the morning and afternoon; he was feeling good and they had a happy time together before he fell ill just after dinner. He was the best husband, father, and friend anyone could have had.

At Warren's request, no funeral service will be held.
