It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of RHONDA SUSAN KRAUSE who went to be with her Lord and Saviour on January 5, 2023 at the age of 59 years. 

Rhonda is survived by her beloved husband, Gregory Krause, and her loving daughter Morgan Krause. She is also survived by her mother Verna Nordby; sister's-in-law Kelly Krause, Gwen (Marv) Warkentin, Colleen (Andy) Bourett; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Rhonda was predeceased by her father Arne Nordby, father-in-law Henry Krause, mother-in-law Shirley Krause, and brother-in-law Lyle Krause. 

Rhonda was born in Beaverlodge, AB on July 8, 1963 to Arne and Verna Nordby. She lived in Valhalla Centre, AB until she went to university in Lethbridge to become a music teacher. While attending university, she met Greg Krause and they were married on July 6, 1985. Shortly after they were married, Rhonda received the diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes. In 1990, they had their daughter Morgan. In 1991, they moved back to the family farm near Valhalla Centre. Rhonda worked as a piano teacher and was very involved in the community, often playing piano for community events or helping in the local library. She was also very active in volunteering for her church by playing for regular worship services, weddings, and funerals. In 2016, her health began to decline and they moved back to Lethbridge where Rhonda started dialysis. Over the last six years of her life, her health continued to decline while she had many surgeries and treatments. She was strong and courageous through it all and kept her eyes on where she was going when it was all over. 

A Memorial Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 7:00 PM with Pastor Abe Block officiating. 

A Funeral Service will be held at LAGLACE BIBLE FELLOWSHIP CHURCH, 9901 99 Street, LaGlace, AB, on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Nelson Senft officiating. The Funeral Service will be live-streamed and may be viewed through Rhonda's obituary on the Cornerstone Website. Interment at Valhalla Cemetery to follow.
