DOUG "BUGSY" McINTOSH, beloved husband of Heather, passed away peacefully in the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born and raised in Coaldale and loved it.   Doug explored various careers.  He established D. Mc Services, which he owned and operated until he was no longer able to work.  His mantra "It is what it is" and continuing to find his journey "interesting" helped us all.  Doug lived life to its fullest: family and friends, work, automotives, golf (What? you're supposed to keep score?), exploring nature, partying.  Bugsy had the biggest heart; he would go out of his way to help in any way he could.  His contagious laugh and unique sense of humour could brighten anyone's day.  He was especially proud of his grandson, Mitchell's accomplishments.

He was a legend.  We never forget those who gave us so much to remember.

Besides his ever-patient and loving wife Heather, Doug is survived by his stepdaughter Tracy McCormack of Angus, ON, adopted daughter Brandi (Grant) Peard, grandchildren:  Mitchell, Shay-lynn, Brooke, Marcus and Madi; sister Linda (Don) Going, brother Tom (Susan) and their families.

He was predeceased by parents Dick and Pearl, niece Sheila Going, stepson Billy McCormack and Uncle Jimmy.

Special mention to his best and loyal friends Greg Kambeitz, and Wendall and Joanne.  We would like to acknowledge and thank Drs. Wilde, Roth, Payne and Chris from Home Care like to thank all the wonderful friends for their help, encouragement and company. and their teams for their encouragement, support and compassionate care. We would also like to thank all the wonderful friends for their help, encouragement and company.

At Doug's request, the family will not be holding a service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Kids Cancer Camp of Alberta (kidscancercare.ab.ca/our-programs/camp)
