DONNA ELIZABETH ANDERSON (NEE KENNEY), passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Michael's Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit, on Monday, April 11, 2016, at the age of 81 years.
Donna was born February 21, 1935 in Lethbridge, AB, to the late William and Evelyn Kenney. She met and married the love of her life, Wayne Anderson in June of 1959. Together they eventually settled in Coaldale, AB to raise their children, Tammy and Brad. Donna was an avid gardener and had a passion for flowers. She was also pretty famous for her canning and won several town fairs for her pickles and of course her grandchildren would say she made the very best pumpkin pie.
Donna is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wayne Anderson; her daughter Tammy (Henry) Moser of Coaldale, AB. and son Brad (Cobi) Anderson of Chilliwack, BC; her grandchildren, Landon Skiba of Lethbridge and Tayler and Gracyn Anderson of Chilliwack, BC. She is also survived by her brothers, Wray (Kay) Kenney, Bert (Shirley) Kenney, Murph (Sandy) Kenney, Bill (Linda) Kenney and sister Doreen (Richard) Chollack as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, with Pastor Eras Van Zyl officiating.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation, in memory of Donna, to your favourite charity.
