We are very saddened to hear of Gerry's passing. My family has been having our vehicles serviced at Tom & Gerry's for decades, and to this day it is the only shop we trust. Visiting with Gerry has always been a highlight of coming into the shop, we will sincerely miss his genuine kindness and warm smile. Our thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.

Our family lived opposite Dieppe Service and have been a client of Gerry for all the years he served in Lethbridge, right up to the present day. On behalf of the Thomas Family we would like to send our sincere condolences to a true gentleman who always had a smile on his face when we had vehicle mechanical problems. Garry Thomas

I was so sad to hear about Gerry and I offer my deepest condolences to all of his family. My husband, Rick Overn, and I have known Gerry since the 1960s When both Rick and Gerry drove stock cars and worked together at the White Rose service station. To this day I have my vehicle serviced at Gerry's garage and often spoke with Gerry there. He was so personable, kind and honest and I will be so sorry not to see his smiling face when I take my vehicle in. This world has lost a very good man!

One of my first jobs as a kid was at Downtown White Rose. Gerry was a young mechanic likely in his mid 20's. I envied his talent as he could simply do the work. He was an easy going guy, someone to look up to. I remember him overhauling a large carburetor in the wash basket. It looked like hundreds of little Lego pieces to me and I thought, "How can a guy do this?" He did. I last saw him last in 1989 when we spent a winter in Lethbridge. Such a nice guy. I'm a pretty poor backyard mechanic, but I'm sure I learned a few things from Gerry.
