Tony immigrated to Canada from Civitanova del Sannio, Italy, in May 1949. He began his life in Canada, working on his uncle’s farm and later, started his 36 year long career with the Canadian Pacific Railway. Maria joined Tony in Canada in June of 1953 and they were married a month later in Coaldale, Alberta. With a growing family, they relocated to Lethbridge in 1961, where they were welcomed by neighbors and friends alike. He was a sweet, gentle, kind-hearted soul with a passion for his family, his friends, his garden, his wine and his Italian heritage.

My heart goes out to all of the family. Tony and Mary will always be in my heart. They took me into their home when I was a silly and naive girl and tried to teach me a few things. I will always remember Tony’s laugh. Thank you for taking such good care of mom after dad died Rest in peace Tony

Nick, to you and your sister Lucy, our most sincere condolences for the loss of your dear father and my long time true and affectionate friend: Tony. I will forever remember and appreciate his and your mom's friendship. I big hug to you and Lucy.

Nicola De Simone, April 29, 2024

Condolences to Nick, "Tony's" family and many friends. The Lord sent Tony to us to do all the wonderful things he has done in his time on earth. He has now called Tony to his new home to continue with everything wonderful he did while with us. The path for Tony is straight and narrow to be united with his beloved wife. Although we mourn the loss of Tony, we can take comfort in knowing that Tony is at peace and we can cherish and remember every memory of Tony forever. May God bless the family and friends of Tony and ease the pain and grieving to begin healing. Riposa in pace ania bella.
