It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Anna "Jean" Armstrong, beloved wife of Dave Armstrong. Jean passed away peacefully in her home at Blue Sky Lodge on Monday July 27, 2020 at the age of 78.
Jean was a loving mom to David (Rita) Armstrong (Mike and Brad and families) and Lori (Allen) Beazer and grandma to Falynn Beazer (Ryan) and Dylen Beazer, and great-grandchildren Brysen and Lyla Jean. She also leaves her faithful fur baby Kayta.
She is also survived by her twin sister Joan Rudd, brother Jim (Sandra) Tremmel, sister Lousie (Gerald) Davison and brother Allan (Shauna) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jean was born May 4th, 1942 in Stettler, AB to Vic and Marie Tremmel. Jean met Dave on a blind date in 1959 and they were married on her birthday, May 4th 1963. They moved to Coaldale in 1968 where they raised their two children and Jean began her career in home and auto insurance.
Jean was a devout Catholic. She went to church each week and warmed the same seat in the back row on the right side of the church until her health deteriorated and COVID-19. She will be remembered for kindness to others. Other interests included golfing, softball and she was a member of the Kinettes for many years. After she retired, she completed several quilts for family and friends. She enjoyed quilting retreats especially the one at Buffalo Lake organized by a dear friend, Harriette Hudson.
In her failing years "momma Jean" and Rita grew a very special bond as she assisted mom with her daily routines and appointments.
Jean was a special lady who will be forever remembered and missed!

I enjoyed Jeans friendship in Kinettes. I still have pictures she patiently stitched for me many years ago!

Dear Dave and family, I knew Jean growing up and after grade 12 in Red Deer we went in our own directions. Her parents and family were always close to our family. Did meet Jean and Dave at the Hudson home at the lake which was great. Thinking of you in these difficult times and passing on our sympathy to every one. Jean's memories will always keep her close to your heart. Diane and Ken Hill
