RITA A. BATTY, beloved wife of the late Clair Batty, passed away at St. Therese Villa, on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the age of 89 years.

RITA A. BATTY, beloved wife of the late Clair Batty, passed away at St. Therese Villa, on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the age of 89 years.

Rita will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Alan MacRae (Rita) Batty and Kent James Batty, and her three grandchildren, Jordan, Megan and Sean. She is also survived by her special friend, Caroline Timson.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clair MacRae Batty, her son, Clair Stone Batty and her sister, Verna May Keller.

Rita was born on November 4, 1929 in Medicine Hat and entered the Convent at an early age. She eventually met Clair and the couple was married on June 28, 1948.

A Celebration of Rita's Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. with Patrick Siedlecki officiating.

I miss you Grandma and I'm glad you're with dad and grandpa and verna now. My grandma was an amazing artist- She had the brightest bluest eyes, strongest fingernails and warmest smile. She baked a mean chocolate pie and she had incredible style. Love you, RIP. And all my love to my southern Alberta family as we suffer this great loss.
