LLOYD T. BEISWANGER, of Picture Butte, beloved husband of Elizabeth "Nell" Beiswanger, peacefully went to heaven on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the age of 78 years.
LLOYD T. BEISWANGER, of Picture Butte, beloved husband of Elizabeth "Nell" Beiswanger, peacefully went to heaven on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the age of 78 years.
Besides his loving wife Elizabeth, Lloyd is survived by his sons Gary, Bobby (Jan), and Tim (Heidi) as well as six grandchildren Breanna, Zane (Andrea), Benjamin, Jonathan, Savannah, Nicholas, and three great-grandchildren Leo, Lily, and Rowan all whom he deeply cherished. He is also survived by his sisters Caroline and Eada (Doug) as well as other extended family.
Lloyd was born in Coaldale on Oct. 17, 1940 to the late John Henry and Adella Beiswanger. His father John Henry was an original homesteader in Picture Butte, established in 1905. Lloyd moved from Picture Butte to Portland, Oregon at age three with his mother and sister after his father's death.
Lloyd joined the military and served a tour in the US Army as a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division stationed at Fort Campbell Kentucky. He met Elizabeth in Nashville, Tennessee and they married on June 4, 1961. Lloyd and Elizabeth moved to Portland Oregon where they started their life together.
Lloyd made a career by means of his talent as a skilled carpenter and General Contractor. After his retirement as a General Contractor, Lloyd and Elizabeth moved back home to Picture Butte. In retirement, he loved traveling with Elizabeth in their RV and adored his Pomeranians Molly and Maggie.
The Family would like to thank the staff of Alberta Health Services Home Care, Jack Ady Cancer Centre and St. Michael's Health Centre for their care and compassion.
A Visitation will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 12:00 Noon, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1:00 P.M.
Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Well, neighbor, your pain is over but you left a big hole in our hearts. May you be half an hour in heaven before the devil knows you are dead.
After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we've shared with our loved ones who have passed, this is what keeps them alive in our hearts and in our minds, and they will continue to live on, through you. My condolences to you and your family.
