PIERRE LAURIER BELZIL, of Lethbridge passed away peacefully on May 20, 2016 at the age of 56.
Pierre was such a gentle, nice man with a wonderful sense of humor and smile. He loved to travel and enjoyed spending time at his cabin in B.C.; going on his most recent trip last month on his new motorcycle. His quiet courage, honesty, strength of spirit, creativity, and sense of humor will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his quick wit and ability to be jack-of-all-trades and a handy man to all, as he displayed so well while being devoted to managing his building in this last year, following his retirement from the County of Lethbridge.
Pierre will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Sarah Belzil (Braden Fletcher) and his sisters; Claire Laskin, Lucille Belzil (Bob Robinson), Roxanne Belzil (Michael Jones) and Colette Belzil (Michael Allan).
He was predeceased by his father Emile Belzil (1963), his mother Therese Laplante (2015), his sister Carmen (1967) and his brother Guy (2016).
In memory of Pierre, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
There will be a Celebration of Life in Lethbridge, to be held at a later date.

Deepest sympathies to all of you. May your hearts heal with these loving memories of Pierre....thoughts and prayers are with you all.
So my friend, Dr.Lucie asked me if I could take a child. At the time, I could not. But Pierre could.. and he did. And he worshipped Sarah. We had many good times at the lake. Pierre, Sarah and i. He loved you Sarah. He even made me your God mother...go figure!.... Pierre was a good guy.
My bro. Always there.how many laughs! He took me out on boat, in Cold Lake, how scared I was, but he wasn't. Those waves! Told me to hang on! I did. Then on shore, I let him have an earful. He just smiled at me, and said "was that not fun!?" That was my bro.
My heart is very heavy. I was not ready to have him go. Good bye little brother. Safe travels.
Our thoughts.and prayers are with his family. I enjoyed working with Pierre and will miss him. RIP
