NADIA EDITH CAMPBELL passed away at the age of 79 years after a long and valiant battle with Parkinson's Disease.

NADIA EDITH CAMPBELL passed away at the age of 79 years after a long and valiant battle with Parkinson's Disease.

The suffering is finally over. She will be sadly, but lovingly, missed by her family and numerous friends. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Mourning her passing are her husband Bob, children: Rob, Gilf (Tomomi), Doug, Heather Roest (John), Dora Dayton (Troy), Emily (Stephan), Bruce (Amy) and a special family member Joy Snyder.

She was predeceased by her daughter Sarah, parents William and Emily Kozak, brother Robert and sister Zoya. She dearly loved her grandchildren: Samantha, Haley, Bella, Jo-Jo, Wyatt, Bailey, Tyson, Max, Stone, Odin, Oshyn and great-grandchildren: Laker, Jasper, Faith, Aurora and Kayden.

Nadia was born in Moose Jaw, SK where she attended elementary and high school. She was active in band, basketball and the "Y". She studied piano and won first place in saxophone solo competition at the Moose Jaw International Band Festival. She attended Teacher's College in Regina where she played in the college dance band and where she met the love of her life, Bob. After marrying Bob in 1962, a life of adventure and service ensued. Throughout their married life Nadia and Bob lived in various communities including Regina, Yellowknife, Vermilion, Cardston, Del Bonita and finally, for the past 41 years, Lethbridge. In each community she made a difference: In Yellowknife helping set up the first YM/YWCA and coaching figure skating. Since settling in Lethbridge, besides running a day home for preschoolers, teaching piano and having a 20-year career as a massage therapist, she organized Lethbridge's first Rhubarb Festival, played saxophone in the community band, participated in the Raging Grannies, the Harambee Grandmothers, was a LSCO Board member, wrote stories for the grand kids and loved karaoke.

All that aside, she will be remembered as a fun-loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who loved to blow bubbles, always putting the needs of others ahead of her own.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nadia's name to the Parkinson's Association of Alberta: P.O. Box 333 Lethbridge, AB T1J 3Y7

It was a joy and privilege for me to meet Nadia. I will remember her laughing eyes, smiling face and warm outgoing personality and sense of humor. I met Nadia and Bob through the Unitarian Fellowship. Sending my condolences to all her family and many friends who remember her with loving kindness.

Bob and Campbell family; we are very sorry to hear of lovely Nadia's passing. She will obviously be hugely missed and such a huge loss. May the great Lord of everything support you all as you try to get used to life here without her earthly living presence and give you the strength to carry-on living as she and the great Lord would want you to do. Until we connect again, we pass our blessings and I'll be in touch otherwise understanding it is busy time for if we can help in any way we're as close as a phone all.

Dear Bob and Family I offer my prayers for you all at this time. Our Meditation group also offer their prayers as you grieve the loss of your dear wife. From a 13th Century Persia: Some nights stay up 'til dawn as the moon sometimes does for the sun. Be a full bucket, pulled up the dark way of a well then lifted out into the light. Something opens our wings, something makes boredom and hurt disappear. Someone fills the cup in front of us, we taste only sacredness.
