BRUNO COLMO of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Anna Colmo, passed away with his family by his side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the age of 81 years.
As well as his wife, he is lovingly remembered by his children, Dario (Pam) Colmo and Linda (Kevin) Dragland; mother-in-law Molly Morency; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna (Rob) Parkins, Scott (Leanne) Morency, Carrie Morency and Mark (Lori) Morency; nieces and nephews who knew him as "Uncle Boo": Erika, Kayla, Todd, Meagan, Kaitlyn, Graysen and Dawson; as well as his special nephews, Diego and family, Fabio in Italy, along with his brother and sister.
Bruno was predeceased by his wife Lucia, parents and five brothers and sisters in Italy.
Bruno was born on January 18, 1935 in Capo D'Istria, Italy. He immigrated to Canada with his wife Lucia in 1957 and went to work on a dairy farm, north of Lethbridge. Within a few years, he began working for Balbi Construction and construction remained with him from then on; framing, home building and his cement work which he always wanted to be done perfectly. Bruno was never a man to say "No" to anyone who asked for help. He loved his bobcat (his toy) and right up to last year when his contractors called to do some bobcat work, he was there to help them out.
Bruno was a very active member of the Italian community, always available to lend a hand where needed. He will be remembered by his friends and family for his generosity and good hearted nature.
