TARA GAY (RHODES) DEGENSTEIN passed away at the Raymond Health Centre, on Monday, November 2, 2020 at the age of 66 years.
TARA GAY (RHODES) DEGENSTEIN passed away at the Raymond Health Centre, on Monday, November 2, 2020 at the age of 66 years.
She is survived by her husband Doran, sister Roxy (Larry Stevenson), son Jassen Wutzke (Holly), daughters Lisa Perlitz and Jody (Ross Edwards). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Tara was born in Lethbridge spending most of her years in Southern Alberta and for the last 10 years working at Holy Spirit School Division, most recently in Coaldale.
Along with her family and friends, her next greatest love was her animals. She will be remembered for her tenacity, sense of humour and her work with her teams of draft horses and ponies.
A graveside service will be held at the farm at 202002 Township Road 74, Lethbridge County (Wilson Siding) on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 1:00 PM.
Following COVID protocols, guests are asked to remain in their vehicles as directed to allow viewing of the service. The service will also be broadcast on Facebook Live.
Memorial donations in Tara's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (cancer.ca/donate)

It's been around 30 years, but I remember her infectious laugh, strong work ethic, and dedication to her family. She and her husband took a 11 year old kid and showed him everything I know about a horses and a hard day's work. Rest in peace Tara

We were shocked and saddened to hear today of Tara's passing. We enjoyed knowing Tara and the friendship we have had with her over the years, both in the family and driving school bus together. Our condolences to Doran and family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Tara's passing. I worked with her while both of us were employed with the Holyspirit School District. Tara was a dedicated and hard worker while performing her duties as a caretaker. I will always remember her smile and funny comments.
