Hamilton families, I got to know Don over the years through my great friendship with Sean Ryan. Don's Building Supplies was a great customer of Gas King's for many years too - business we truly appreciated! We socialized a bit, golfed together on occasion & I was even lucky enough to be invited by Don as Sean's guest on a building supply cruise in the mid 1990s. I had great time with Don, Terry & Sean on the cruise & got to know Don even better. He was a well-respected businessman & ran a very successful company with integrity. (Sean spoke very highly of Don!). RIP Don - you will be missed by many.

Joanne and Kendall, Condolences to you and your family.

Dianne Sullivan, May 23, 2024

Our condolences to Joanne & Terry, and all the extended family. Donny was our Boss, but also a friend and Mentor. A very smart business man, and always had a way to say the right things at the end of a hard day, just to make you feel better. His legacy continues on with all of us, as we're all successfully still supplying Drywall, Building supplies & Roofing thanks to Donny's mentorship. From the Don's Boys, Sean, Paul, Stevie, Mike, Lane & Marcel

My condolences to the entire family of Don, especially Terry and Toby and the girls, Joanne and Kendall and their two great kids and of course Faye and her family who really loved and cared dearly for Don after the passing of Shirley in 2001. He was a very special man with an incredibly kind heart and a love for life. Terry and I were best friends growing up and Don treated me like a family member and was a great role model for myself and many other kids growing up around him. Many great years at the cabin in Wasa, boating, big camp fires and gathering of close friends. I also had the opportunity to work with Don and Terry for many years in the business, Don's Building Supply, which he always operated with such integrity and loyalty to customers. We went on many fishing trips over the years and he always made the trip so enjoyable with his wonderful demeanor, good natured humor and ribbing. He was so wonderful to my girls and there was always something special coming out of his workshop at Christmas. Don will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him. A very special gentleman.

To Don, “Hammer”, my long-time poker buddy and seat neighbour (seats 7 and 8), you’ll be missed by myself and the “regulars”. Get that poker game going in heaven and I’ll see you when I get there. RIP.
