Dragland, Shelley

SHELLEY DRAGLAND, loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and grandmother, passed away on December 27, 2022 at the age of 59 years. 

Growing up, Shelley always had a passion for caring for others. This passion continued into her adult life where she graduated from Mount Royal University as a Recreational Therapist. She spent over 25 years working with clients who had disabilities, including volunteering at the special Olympics and caregiving for a client while they lived in her home for over 10 years. 

Shelley was known as the fun mom who welcomed all into her home. She was the energetic grandma who would come up with the best games to play. She was an adventurous daughter and a silly quick-witted sister. She was the aunt who always had fun activities and adventures planned and the friend who was always there. 

Shelley is remembered by her family and friends for her high energy and generous spirit. She loved singing, dancing and cartwheeling wherever she went, crafting with her grandkids, and cooking the most delicious meals for those around her table. She loved cheering her kids on in their sports and making people laugh. Shelley loved being outdoors; going on family camping trips and fishing were her favourite hobbies. 

Most of all, Shelley loved being a mom and grandmother. 

Shelley's kind heart and welcoming arms will be missed by everyone. 

A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
