Dykslag, John
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38-39

In God's infinite wisdom, JOHN DYKSLAG, beloved husband of the late Hilda Dykslag, passed away very peacefully at the Fairmont Extendicare, surrounded by his family on Monday, November 7, 2022 at the age of 90 years.
Dad is survived by his five adoring children: Marg (Richard), John (Sadie), Leroy (Joann), Wendy (Buzz) and Patty; 16 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Dad is also survived by his only surviving sibling, Wendy Coutts.
Dad was happiest being surrounded by and helping his children. Dad was a man of great character and faith. He was loved by all. Dad took the role of being the oldest son very seriously, and cared for the extended family that was left behind.
Dad also created lifelong friendships, from volunteering countless hours building Trinity Reformed Church, to having coffee with friends on a regular basis; he was a man who loved to socialize. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
John will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Hilda privately prior to the service.
A Funeral Service will be held at TRINITY REFORMED CHURCH, 1100 - 40 Avenue North, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend John Van Eyk officiating.

My Uncle John was a Truly Loving,Caring, Gentle,Godly Man who cared deeply not only for his immediate family but for all he had met. As a young man on his journey away from home he helped me in many ways , as did Tante' Hilda , and of course my cousins , settle into a life in Alberta. Thank You Uncle John for being the Man God called you to be. You were and still are 1 of kind and I know that God & Tante Hilda are Gloriously Joyfilled that you are Home and in their Arms of Love Forever.
Our deepest sympathies to all my cousins and your families. Your Dad will be greatly missed here by everyone, but imagine the reunion in Heaven and maybe that will ease the pain! You are in our prayers!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. John was a friend to all he met. We shared many good times together in Milk River. Deepest sympathy. Hugs.
