Dad was born in Pigeon Lake MB to Jack and Formosa Davies. He travelled to Picture Butte with his brother Leo seeking adventure and work.
Dad met mom and fell in love with her, and they married November 19th, 1954, and were together for 68 years.
Dad worked at Butte Feeds until his retirement, then mom and dad worked at their friends (Nancy & Ray) Fly in Fishing Camp: Shadd Lake SK, for 16 years. It was the “Best Years of Their Life”.
As a man of many passions, dad enjoyed gardening, fishing and telling stories. Dads’ warmth, humor and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dad was predeceased by his wife Mary, parents, six siblings, his daughter-in-law Josee and son Robert “Bob”.
An immense and heartfelt thanks to the Staff at Piyami Lodge and Piyami Place for the passionate care and support for our dad.
Please join the family on Friday, July 4th, 2025, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. for a reception at the CATTLEMAN’S CHOPHOUSE – 234 Hwy Avenue North, Picture Butte, AB.

To the entire Picture Butte family, I’m truly sorry for your loss. Getting in the car with Grandma Eunice, and heading to Picture Butte from Winnipeg was the best, but Uncle Eddie was the highlight for me! Best stories, best laughs, best times. He will be missed.
