It is with intense and overwhelming sadness that we announce the very sudden and unexpected passing of DARCY MICHAEL EGGER at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the age of 55 years.
Darcy was born on November 15, 1962 in Lethbridge, AB. He was - without a doubt - the most genuine, kind, considerate and loving person in our lives. Darcy was a father, brother, son, grandfather and friend. Darcy is survived by his daughter Amanda (Ashton) Ervin, his son Josh (Sasha) Egger and his four grandchildren - the loves of his life - Carson, Graeson, Sawyer and Isabella. Darcy is survived by his parents Martha & Fred Egger and his brother Dwayne (Judy) Egger. Darcy was also blessed to have many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Darcy was in the prime of his life and met every day with excitement, joy and terrible jokes. He embraced each moment of his life and put forth great effort in anything he did. He loved his work and was very skilled as a mechanical insulator. Darcy was proud to teach his trade to his son and eagerly watched Josh follow in his footsteps. Darcy loved and was loved by many. He often spoke fondly about his dear lifelong friend Johnny, and his new love, Melanie. He had a wonderful relationship with Charlene, and seeing the two of them blossom and grow as grandparents will forever be engrained in their grandchildren's hearts. However, not much could compare to the special bond between Darcy and his sweet dog, Hailey. Darcy will be missed immensely. From his laugh, to his advice about movies and music; without him, there is a massive void that can never be filled.
A Celebration of Darcy's Life will be held at ROCKY MOUNTAIN TURF CLUB, MAIN FLOOR - 3401 Parkside Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.

Fred,Martha and family..so sorry to hear of Darcys very early passing.....
It seems like just yesterday Darcy and I would meet at the gym at 5 AM; Darcy's passion and love. Darcy had each day carefully planned out and was determined to achieve goals every day. Darcy didn't like the workout at the gym as much as he did meeting all the people; it was his world. He always remembered cardio Monday once a month...ha ha. He always had a story to tell everyday of something he experienced. He talked of his close family all the time and his dog. Darcy was taken too early in life and he will be extremely missed. We are thinking of all the family and our prayers go to out to you. Dennis & Linda

Dear Aunt Martha and Uncle Fred; A deep sadness came into my life when cousin Colleen called early Thursday to tell me Darcy had suddenly passed away. I can express these words of sympathy and sadness but I know it cannot come close to the grief that follows the loss of a dear loved one. You were solid and supportive during Mom's hour of need and I wish I could be there for you. May the expressions of sympathy from family and friends and your strong spiritual faith carry you through this dark time and back into the lightness. Bye for now . . . Gord
Dear Josh, so sorry to hear about your Father. May his memory live forever in your heart. Love & Hugs. Katie
Martha, sincere condolences for the loss of your dear son. Carey Yanke
Today the world has lost another great man. Taken far too early in life. Tall as an Oak tree, Strong as a bull, with a Lions Heart, but with a Kind and Gentle Soul. Was an honor to have known you and called you a friend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family... R.I.P. Big D
