SHEILA VINCENT EGGLI, beloved wife of Garry Eggli, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at the St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the age of 76 years.
SHEILA VINCENT EGGLI, beloved wife of Garry Eggli, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at the St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the age of 76 years.
Besides her husband of 56 years, Garry, Sheila is survived by her children Ward (Sue) Eggli of Lethbridge and Mark (Charlene) Eggli of Sherwood Park, AB. as well as five grandchildren: Paige (William) Douglas, Chase Eggli, Danica Eggli, Katie Eggli and Ryley Eggli and three great-grandchildren: Alfred Douglas, Arthur Douglas and Archie Douglas.
She is also survived by her Mother In Law, Mable Eggli of St Theresa Villa in Lethbridge, Her sister Carol (Ken) McAgy of Penticton BC, Her brother Clive (Cherie) Kahn of Victoria BC, Sister In Law's Carol (Carl) Hayes, Debbie (Bruce) Reinhart, Brother In Law Chuck (Kathy) Eggli, and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends that will miss her dearly.
Sheila was predeceased by her father William Fredrick Kahn, her mother Emma Griffen, her sister Doris Cromwell and her son William "Billy" Eggli.
Sheila was born in Edmonton on July 17,1942. She was passionate about knitting, family, their Dog Carley "Pumpkin" and animals in general. She took pleasure in spending time at the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization (LSCO) and volunteering her time.
She enjoyed travel and especially camping in the Okanogan with family almost every year of her life. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends as a women who loved her family and enjoyed spending many wonderful times with them.
Sheila and her family are so very grateful for the care she received at the Lethbridge Chinook Regional Hospital (CRH), Chronic Kidney Disease Clinic by Dr. Morley Wong and his staff. The family would like to thank the staff at the CRH - floor 4C and St. Michaels Health Center - Palliative Care Unit for the support and kindness that was shown to them and Sheila during her time with them.
In lieu of flowers, donation in the memory of Sheila can be made to the Lethbridge Humane Society - 2920 16 Ave N, Lethbridge, AB T1H 5E9 or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada - #507, 740 4th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 0N9.
To honor her request there will be a private family gathering at a later date.

Sorry to hear of Sheila"s passing. We worked at the CIBC on the northside together. She gave me her recieipe for Whipped Shortbread that I still use and will remember her every time I make them.

I will always miss you Grandma! Thank you for being such a wonderful grandmother to me and my boys! I have wonderful childhood memories of sleeping over at your house and eating all the pancakes and drinking all the apple juice, all the family bbqs and sneaking fresh fruit and veg from your garden. You taught me how to knit even thou I was only ever to make a long skinny blanket. You will always be on my mind and in my heart. I will forever love you Love Paige

Garry, I am heartbroken to hear. Sheila helped me feel comfortable in my job at LSCO and we had many laughs about handicrafts and the kooky people in the world. I loved sharing my office with her on Mondays and I miss her. We all at LSCO send our condolences and our love.
