Elaine Gyorfi

She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Lillian Erdos and Pauline Bodie and her brother, Arnold Bodie; her children Leona (Gordon) Charlton, Fredric (Arlene) Gyorfi, and Diane Gyorfi; her grandchildren Aaron & Kevin Charlton, Amanda (Ron) Feniuk, Chad Gyorfi, Wade (Shanlee) Gyorfi, and Justin Gyorfi; her great-grandchildren Ashton, Nicholas, Rusch, and Jayce Feniuk, Sophie Gyorfi, Maximus & Alexis Gyorfi.

Elaine was predeceased by her parents Alexander & Florence Bodie, brother Alexander Bodie Jr. and sister Josie Szucs.

On April 15, 1945, Elaine married Alexander Gyorfi Jr., moved to Bow Island where they farmed and raised three children. She was an excellent cook, gardener, seamstress, and crafter among many other things. Her faith and strength saw her handle many things in her almost 97 years.

Elaine loved and was proud of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and dearly treasured any opportunity to be with them.

Cherished memories of her will live in our hearts and she will be truly missed!

A Celebration of Elaine’s Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 1:30 P.M. with Pat Siedlecki officiating.
