It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of EDWARD ERICKSON on Monday April 3, 2017 at the age of 88 years.
Ed lived in the Nobleford area his full life, farming and ranching for over 50 years with his brothers and sons. Ed was a great husband, father, grand-father, uncle, neighbor and friend to many. He was well known for his generosity, kindness and willingness to help others. He would always assist his neighbors/friends and put their needs above his own without ever having to be asked. After a hard year of work, he enjoyed nothing better than taking his family to his favorite place at Fairmont Hot Springs.
Ed is survived by Anne, his loving wife of 64 years. He was also a loving father to his 5 children, Duane, Denise (Mark) Hofman, Dale, Darcie (Shelly), Darlene (Shaun) Harrison. His gentleness & memory will be cherished forever by his 12 grandchildren, Micah, Lauren, Cody, Cole, Scott, Tara, Amber, Darcy, Russell, Sarah (Brenton), Shelby & Spencer.
Ed was predeceased by his brothers, Clarence and Ernest & Sister Ellen Barnaby.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the NOBLEFORD COMMUNITY COMPLEX, 122 Kipp Street, Nobleford, AB, on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Rodger Halvorsen officiating.
A special thank you to the doctors and nurses on 3C for the excellent care that Dad received for the month that he was in the Chinook Regional Hospital.

Darcie, Shelley, Darcy, Emilly & Russ: I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you are able to surround yourselves with good memories and positive thoughts.
I feel so sorry for everyone in the family! As I told Dale the other night that there is nothing your dad would not have done for his children or grandchildren. I will never forget going to the Erickson house on Halloween trick or treating and getting stuck in a snow drift and Edward pushing us out of the snow after we took your candy! I will miss Edward a lot but will remember him fondly always!
My deepest condolences, Ed was always a boisterous guy and was always kind. I remember him helping me shovel the walks in the morning and then drive me to school so I wouldn't be late. I have very fond memories of him and am so sorry for your loss.
My condolences to you Anne and your family. I am unable to attend the celebration of life this Saturday as my family and I out of town. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. David
