Hi Carol and Grant, I am so sad for the loss of Joe. My deepest condolences go out to both of you. He was such a great neighbor and friend for the Ponjavic families. Every time I saw Joe, he made me feel so comfortable with his warmth and friendly conversation, and many a story to tell. Joe was very much like his mom and dad; they were good, kind and caring people who were always ready to help. I will always remember spending many Saturday's at your place after music lessons and always felt welcome in your home. The Ponjavic's always looked forward to visits from Joe and Carol over the years. How lucky we were to have you as neighbors and to have known Joe. What an incredible human being he was. We are all better people for having known Joe. He will be greatly missed.
So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Joe was truly a special, special man. When Dad died Joe was unbelievably helpful and simply wonderful to Mom and myself. He was an angel during a very difficult time in my life. I am a blessed person for having met Joe Fekete. :(
The condolences to the Fekete family on Joe's passing. From the late Mr.&Mrs Boychuk and families. We have appreciated knowing and working with the Fekete's for many years.
Joe was always so kind to all the youth that rode the horses at the farm. He always remembered Tias birthday too! My favourite memories are when he caught the baby gopher and kept it in his laundry room sink so everyone could have a chance to see it ... meanwhile he was trying to poison the rest of the gophers in the field! And when he came to his surprise birthday party not expecting to see Carol, the look in his eyes when he turned around was pure love! Thank you Joe for being a wonderful role model to so many. May you Rest In Peace. Much Love from Shannon & Tia

I have known the Fekete Family since we moved to West Lethbridge in 1947. I loved Joe's stories. He was always kind and helpful to everyone as was all of the Fekete Family. He will be greatly missed. Sincere Condolences To Carol and Grant.
I am so sorry to hear, Carol, that you have lost your best friend and husband. Joe was the best neighbor that you could have. I am blessed to have known Joe. Whenever you needed help, Joe and Carol would drive over and help. Treating a sick animal or helping to put machinery together, you could always count on Joe. Joe told great stories and visited with neighbors easily. He will be dearly missed. Much love, Millie Ponjavic
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Thinking of you at this difficult time. Life marches on, but hopefully you can reflect on the wonderful 57 years of memories you had with your husband. Take care of yourself. Hopefully our paths will cross someday soon.
My condolences go out to Carol and Grant. Joe always had a joyful and whimsical outlook on life. His presence here will be missed. Rest in peace.
When I began working at the UFA in Lethbridge, a certain man used to do a rare act. He'd walk up, tell me he'd been watching how I worked, and was impressed that whenever he came in the store, I was always busy building things. I didn't think anyone noticed... but of course, it was Joseph Fekete, and he became an acquaintance for many years. He always had kind words and greetings, and truly always tried hard to get to know people on a personal level. I will never forget him. My condolence s to his family. Joseph truly left the world better than he found it.
So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I'll miss his good stories.
