Fellger, Alfred

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of ALFRED PAUL FELLGER, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Trudy Fellger. He passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the age of 94 years. 

Alfred is survived by his children: Renee (Dave) Dueck, Delaine (Ray) Taylor, Sharon (James) Obrigewitch and Brian (Marcie) Fellger; grandchildren: Jordan (Nina), Jerrid (Briana), Taylor, Lindsay (Bryan), Cassidy, Jacob, Jenna, Colbey and Evan; and great-grandchildren: Aria, Lucy, Oakley, Emma, Owen and Harper. Alfred is also survived by his siblings: Paulie (Shirley) Fellger, Darlene (Leonard) Chogi and Margaret Fellger, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his wife Trudy, parents Paul and Christine, brother Erwin and sister-in-law Linda. 

Alfred was born May 5, 1929 in Besigheim, Germany. He immigrated to Canada with his family as a young child. On April 25, 1957, he married Trudy, and together, they enjoyed 60 years of marriage until her passing. 

He was a very hard-working man who had several jobs: Mail hauling, Kirk's Tires, O'Loane Kiely & Co. and Alfred Fellger Water Hauling. He also helped out at a friend's farm into his early 80's. Alfred was a very happy and sociable man. He also loved sitting on his front porch with his beloved dog Abby, visiting with people as they walked by. 

We would like to thank the staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital, Lethbridge Home Care and Seasons in Lethbridge Gardens for all the wonderful care they provided. 

A private Family Service will be held at a later date.
