MYRNA YVONNE FLESCH passed away at South Health Campus in Calgary on Friday, June 26, 2020 at the age of 78 years.

MYRNA YVONNE FLESCH passed away at South Health Campus in Calgary on Friday, June 26, 2020 at the age of 78 years.

Myrna is survived by her brothers, Melvin (Glory) Yorgason and Larry (Irene) Yorgason; her nieces and nephews, Carole (Scott) Angeles, Bonnie (Chaz) Drozdiak, Nolan Yorgason, Nikki (Darryl) Thom, Cherise Yorgason, Reed Yorgason, and by Kayla (Danyon) Angeles and Omar Angeles.

She was predeceased by her partner, Shirl Bilton, and her parents, Hazel & Marvyn Yorgason.

Myrna's early education was in Stavely. She enjoyed music, gardening and rug hooking. Her working career—which began in Edmonton—culminated in her becoming Canada's first female Airport Manager in Lethbridge. After beginning a partnership with Shirley Bilton and moving to her farmland in Stavely, they were instrumental in achieving the first homozygous, polled, full-blood Blonde d'Aquitante animal recognized in the world.

Per Myrna's request, there will be no formal funeral service. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made by cheque to Claresholm and District Health Foundation, Box 2638, Claresholm, AB T0L 0T0; by cash/debit at the Health Foundation Office, 139 - 43 Ave. W, Claresholm, AB; or by calling the Foundation Coordinator, Tara, at 403-682-3739.

A special thank-you to Dr. Yonemori and all the staff at Claresholm General Hospital and the staff at South Health Campus for the kind, gentle and professional care given to Myrna.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home, Lethbridge.

I just reread the letter Myrna sent to me a few months before she died. I miss her still. It was wonderful that I was able to visit her and my 2nd cousin Shirl and they could visit us. I'm grateful for that, Shirl was the only family I had left and I was so grateful that Myrna liked me. The rest of the Biltons never had any interest in knowing me. I hope to see Myrna soon myself. Should any of her family ever look here, they will know she's still in my heart and she is not forgotten.

I was extremely sad to hear about Myrna's passing. She was such a breath of fresh air and a wonderful lady - you will be missed Myrna. My condolences to her family and friends.

Auntie....we loved you then, we love you now, and will love you forever in our hearts. As much as I'd give to have one more chance, to tell you I love you one more time....I know that is not possible, so I'll create the occasion in my dreams to make it happen. See you there soon. I love you Auntie?
