She was predeceased by her husband Johannes “Joe” VanderBeek, her parents, John and Erma Graham, her brother James Graham and sister Patricia Maryancik.
Frances was born in Calgary, Alberta on September 27, 1937, but as a railway child, was not destined to live there for long, moving between Calgary, Lethbridge and Montreal. When she moved back to Lethbridge, she met her husband Joe and had two children. She obtained her Education degree and taught Grade three for most of her career but finally ‘passed’ and finished her career teaching Grade four.
In retirement, she divided her time between her granddaughters, golf and volunteering with animal rescue.
As per Frances’ wishes, there will be no ceremony.
