PHILIP GRUNINGER, beloved husband of Othella "Tillie" Gruninger of 72 years, passed away with family at his side, on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the age of 94 years.
PHILIP GRUNINGER, beloved husband of Othella "Tillie" Gruninger of 72 years, passed away with family at his side, on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the age of 94 years.
Besides his wife, Tillie, Philip is survived by his loving children: LeeAnne (Joe) Horvath, Lorrie (Aaron) Clements and Kim Gruninger; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his brother Don (Carol) Gruninger, Mike (Faye) Gruninger, Joe (Diane) Gruninger, and Albert (Shirley) Gruninger.
Philip was a compassionate, thoughtful, honourable man who loved his family. His quiet courage, strength of spirit, creativity and sense of humour will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him. His family joked about his never-ending ability to fix things.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff for the exceptional, compassionate care that was given.
At Philip's request, no funeral will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Philip's name to Raymond Hospital Auxiliary (Box 599, Raymond, AB, T0K 2S0).
