James was a long time friend who became more like a member of our family. My condolences to Naimi and his family. May the memories of James remain in your heart and strength through the days ahead. We will miss him. Grace and Dan

Rest In Peace, little brother. You have paid your dues. You will be lovingly remembered.

Vel Kaul, February 3, 2022

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Naimi and the family. I enjoyed the years of knowing James and the many projects we dreamed up together for the church building and events. He was a very good listener and excellent creative mind when we would have brainstorming times together. He always "got my ideas" and we were able to make it happen together. Naimi, loving hugs and God's grace to you in these days ahead. Much love, Kristi McEvoy

That was a lovely memorial service for James and I'm happy to have been able to connect from Ontario. RIP Uncle Larry and may our memories of you be a blessing to all who knew and loved you. Lisa

Our deepest sympathies go out to Naimi and all of James's family, as we know you miss him very much. We were so privileged to know James as part of our CTK North Bay family, and will look forward to seeing him again in heaven. James was always so steadfast and never complained, even when we could tell he was in great discomfort. He was so quick-witted and clever, always so ready to help, and had such a talent for woodworking. What a gift! May God bless all of you and bring you comfort in your grief.

My daughter, Larin, and I along with extended families have been so blessed to have Larry James living in Lethbridge these past years. We enjoyed his presence and cooking skills at many get-togethers and celebrations. We see his talent in the magnificent woodwork he created and accomplished in Larin and Ryan's home. He was a fun Grandpa who chased Oaklynn, Parks, and friends soaking them with the largest water guns we had ever seen. Grandpa loved and was loved back. While hospitalized Larin went almost daily to feed him lunch and chat. She made sure he was able to phone his two half-sisters. During his last weeks she arranged for many old friends to see him, reminisce, and make him smile. He and his daughter cared for and loved each other very much. He will be missed and dearly remembered

We are so deeply saddened to lose such a great friend. Our friendship started about 45 years ago and it grew deeper over the years. We had the love of woodworking and classic cars in common. James was a master of both of these loves. Whenever James visited Lethbridge we always would drive on 7th avenue South two or 3 times every visit because he loved this area. Lots of drives and reminiscing of the old days of our youth . When James married Naimi we knew it was for life . Together they built a great legacy of friendship and love. We had such great visits each time we were together. Lots of laughter, meals, and sharing memories and ideas. We are sad that he left us but we know he is with GOD. All our great memories will remain in our hearts .

Although we didn't know James for a long time during the time we did we were so touched by how much he showed his love for his daughter Larin. He was a master craftsman and he used his skill to remodel his daughter's family home. We will miss you James.
