So sorry to read about the loss of your father , Connie and family. I remember meeting him at your home. My father also passed away summer of last year.
Dear Joyce Please accept may most sincere condolences on the death of you dear husband, Ed. I used to work with Ed at ECCC. I had the great opportunity to work evenings and therefore could spend a little more time with Ed. Ed truly enjoyed his chocolate puddings and I enjoyed our conversations especially just prior to putting him to bed. Ed really enjoyed your visits as he would perk up and smile when he saw you. I trust the good Lord now has Ed in His loving arms and will continue to keep him safe and free from all pain and suffering. Rest in peace my friend. Louellen Lee
Dearest Joyce and family, it is with great sadness that I read of Ed's passing. I know that he endured a long and difficult illness and that you endured it with him. You showed great love and grace in your care of Ed and I am certain he was always grateful for your love for him. I know that the knowledge that he is with the Lord brings some peace, but it does not wipe away the grief we feel at the loss of someone so important to us. I will keep you all in my prayers and trust in God's love and grace to comfort you in this time. With much love, Barb Harbers
I was so sorry to see Ed's death notice in our newspaper ( Saskatoon Star Phoenix). I know how much he suffered these many years and now God, in His mercy, has released Ed of pain. I was Ed's first grade teacher ! I can still visualize him sitting in his little desk - his dark eyes sparkling with excitement, a continuous smile on his face and not knowing who or what to watch first in a classroom of 30 multi-aged students!! He felt so secure with his big sister being there...only 2 aisles away. They made the 3 mile journey to school each day in a little cart pulled by a Shetland pony and Ed was glad to join his little class of 6 students! I saw Ed grow from childhood to getting married and raising a family. I know of his becoming a Christian and successful business career which ended when he encountered poor health. I also know that his loving wife, Joyce, nursed him with such tender loving care for many years until his death. Ed is now in the loving arms of God! My prayers are for God's special comfort and strength to Joyce and their family, who are left to carry on.
