ARTHUR GEORGE HEWITT, beloved husband of Joyce Hewitt, passed away at the St. Michael's Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit, on Sunday May 8, 2016 at the age of 86 years.
ARTHUR GEORGE HEWITT, beloved husband of Joyce Hewitt, passed away at the St. Michael's Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit, on Sunday May 8, 2016 at the age of 86 years.
He is the loving father of Glen (Xingyu) Hewitt of Guelph, ON., Roy (Ruth) Hewitt and grandchildren Allison, Jacqueline and Elyse of Barrhead, AB., Jane Hewitt of Lethbridge, AB., Larry (Sandy) Hewitt and grandchildren Josh and Rebekah of Prince George, AB., Mary Hewitt (Troy Pells) of Calgary, AB., and Judy (Mark) Ross and grandchildren Stephen, Logan, Kendra and Nick of Sundre, AB. Art is also survived by his wife, Joyce Hewitt and sisters Marian (Paul) Beer and Jean Carter.
A Celebration of Art's Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB., on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 3:30 P.M. with Canon Allan McCuaig officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Michael's Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit, 1400 - 9th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB., T1J 4V5 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, #204, 2323 - 32 Avenue N.E., Calgary, AB., T2E 6Z3.

Sad to learn of the passing of your Dad. I worked at the Research Station for a time while your Dad was there. Very happy to have known him. Then in later years when we were both retired, we ended up crossing paths while doing volunteer work at the Bingo Hall. What a small world. Again, my sincere condolences to all of his family. Art was the best neighbor we had the privilege to know. He will be missed by all of our family! May the good memories of him soften his passing to Joyce and his children and grandkids. Our thoughts are with all of you!
