Holmes, Vivian Kathleen

VIVIAN KATHLEEN HOLMES, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the age of 90 years.

She leaves to mourn her children, George (Elaine) Holmes, Rick (Marrilynn) Holmes, Wendy (Rudy) Granson; grandchildren Marnie (Trevor) James, Ross (Rosie) Holmes, Alicia (Craig) Hoover, Matthew Holmes, Ryan (Mary) Granson, Eric (Jasmine) Granson; and great grandchildren Courtney (Myles) Lucas, Colby James, Eva Holmes, Kaiden and Keiran Hoover, Alex Granson, Mitchell and Hailey Granson; as well as her sister Joan (Joe) Zubach, brother-in-law Hugh Laycock and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Armrel Storie, and sisters Audrey Laycock and Gwenyth (Gordon) Magnussen.

Vivian was born in Barnwell, Alberta on February 13, 1926, but was raised and lived in Lethbridge for the majority of her life. She worked for many years at Dr. Walter Mitson's optometry office in Lethbridge. She was a caring and loving lady who always put her family and others first before herself.

As per Vivian's wishes, no formal Funeral Service will be held. A Memorial Gathering for Vivian will be held at the LETHBRIDGE SENIOR CITIZEN ORGANIZATION - 500 11 Street South, Lethbridge, AB. on August 27, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Vivian to the CRH Foundation Renal Program, 960 - 19 Street S, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 1W5 or to a charity of your choice.
