It is with sadness and joy we announce the passing of our Mother, Oma, great-Oma and friend, ELIZABETH HUIZING, who went to be with her Lord and Saviour, on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from acute leukemia at the age of 87 years.

Mourning Elizabeth's passing is her family: Bernie & Holly Huizing (Josh & Christina Huizing, Caleigh, Harper & Asher), (Sheena Olson, Eden, Addison & Tate); Archie & Lisa Huizing (Evan & Jenna Huizing, Tyson), (Lyndsie Bourgon & Simon Corkum), (Sara & Adam Savidant, Lucas, Royce, Edwin & Clara), (Denis Huizing & Jacalyn Moore), (Danielle & Gareth Simpson); Tina di Vincenzo; Joyce & Guy Bishoff (Kendra & Levi Bovingdon, Sophie & Isaac), (Mitchell Bishoff), (Cole Bishoff); Edward Huizing (Jon & Rachel Huizing, Kiera, Lucas, Silas, Tyson & Hailey), (Justin Huizing, Jacob, Madelyn & Alyssa), (Stephanie & Ben Tolsma, Levi, Kyle, Michelle, Kendra & Sean), (Kevin & Abigail Huizing, Kaylie & Ezra), (Aaron & Joanne Huizing), (Daniel & Bridgette Huizing), (Samuel Huizing).

She was born in Rijsoord, The Netherlands on March 28, 1931 and grew up there. She met her future husband, Jan Huizing, and followed him to Canada in 1955, whom she married in March 1956. She was quite adventurous, as she was the only one from her family who immigrated. That adventure continued throughout her life, as mom and dad liked to see other places, so travelled extensively. They were able to see Canada from coast to coast. After dad's passing, mom continued to travel until ill health forced her to stay closer to home. Throughout her life, mom's faith, church and love of the Lord were important to her, which she passed on to her children.

A Viewing will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

A Celebration of Elizabeth's Life will be held at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 260 McGill Blvd. West, Lethbridge, AB, on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Paul VanStralen officiating.
