She is survived by her son Rick (Phyllis) of Lethbridge, daughter Natile (Jack) of Lethbridge, her only grand-child Jade (Joshua) of Lethbridge, her brother Maurice Desjarlais & family of Regina, SK, sister Helen Gauthier & family of Lethbridge, AB, sister Denise Tataryn & family of Regina, SK, and sister Donna Merriman & family of Burnt River, ON, as well as numerous sisters-in-law, extended family, and her many friends.

Ida was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Allan Feist, mom and dad Albert and Mary Desjarlais, father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph and Emelia Feist, and numerous brothers and sisters.

Ida was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was cheerful, welcoming and treated her nieces & nephews like her own children; she had a big heart where there was always room for everybody. Her love knew no boundaries and she was a confidant to many. Her only grandchild Jade was her brightest star in the sky; there wasn’t a day when Ida never talked to Jade. They loved to facetime, text and call one another several times a day.

Ida had an angelic, sweet voice and she carried every note beautifully and loved to sing with her sisters, Georgina, Helen and daughter Natile. Mum/Grandma did everything for her husband and family; always selflessly giving, and always there for her family no matter what. Her beautiful smile, gentle and cheerful bubbly spirit will never be forgotten. Her legacy will carry on forever reminding us the value of family and friends.

The family would like to sincerely thank LFES Paramedics, Chinook Regional Hospital ER and Unit 4C staff, the Palliative Care Team, Dr. Roth and Tamara, Home Care staff (Emma), Chinook Respiratory Care, extended family and numerous friends. To all, we appreciate your kindness and love and wish you God’s abundant blessings.

Ida will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A Prayer Vigil will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 7:00 P.M. with Sharon Hagel officiating.

Love is stronger than death, though it can't stop death from happening; but no matter how hard death tries, it can't separate people from love for it can never take away the memories of those we love. May these memories comfort your family and keep mum alive in your hearts. We are praying for you. Lots of love and hugs from us in Nairobi Kenya
