Ivanco, Alex
Alex was taken from his family April 2, 2009 as a result of cancer. He will be sadly missed by his wife Marlene and children; Tyler, Gregory and Marlyse; dear daughter in-law, Amelia (Toplak) Ivanco and son-in-law and friend Don Peterson. He leaves to mourn his six granddaughters; Tasha, Meagan, Trina, Ali, Trisha and Shae; nephews Shane, Leigh, Graham and niece Mardelle. Alex was born in Lethbridge, AB. Detective Sgt. Alex Ivanco served the City of Lethbridge as a police officer for 32 years. After retirement he spent many a weekends in the shadow of Old Chief Mountain at his cabin at Duck Lake, Montana. He was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Mary Ivanco and his only sibling Joseph Ivanco. 'An ordinary life for an ordinary person.' Thanks to Dr. Haberman, Dr. Holland and all the wonderful girls at the Cancer Clinic, we had a few more months with Alex. In keeping with Alex's wishes there will be a private family service.
