MRS. JANICE VANDER HEYDEN, of Lethbridge, AB, passed away at home suddenly on Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 at the age of 52 years.
MRS. JANICE VANDER HEYDEN, of Lethbridge, AB, passed away at home suddenly on Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 at the age of 52 years.
She is survived by her three children Bradley Vander Heyden, Teri Vander Heyden, and Nicole (Brad) Slomp.
She was predeceased by both her parents, Kay and Bill Nummi and her oldest brother Richard.
Jan was born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta. She graduated from LCI in 1978 where she excelled in academics, music and badminton. She moved to Picture Butte where she raised her three children and was an active member of St. Catherine's church in the choir and the Catholic Women's League. She devoted much of her life to working in the community and dedicating most of her time to her children and their many recreational activities. Jan was always eager to be in the outdoors and camping with her family and friends.
A Prayer service will be held at ST. CATHERINE'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH - 762 Crescent Ave, Picture Butte, AB on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 7:00 PM. With Deacon Ray Wagner officiating.
A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME - 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM. with Deacon Ray Wagner officiating.

My sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother. Janice was my Communications Standing Chair on the Calgary Diocesan Catholic Women's League. We had many long distance chats as she put together the monthly newsletter and many other tasks. She was a lovely person and I will miss her dearly. She is in God's arms now.
