With great sadness, the family of FUMI JASIUKIEWICZ announces her passing on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.
Fumi was born in Surrey, B.C. and moved to Raymond, AB in 1942, where she remained until moving to Lethbridge in 2005. She married Wesley in 1948 and they were happily married for 64 years.
Family was her number one priority and she excelled at being a fantastic wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She will always be remembered for her outstanding ability to cook and bake. When we think of her, we think of cream buns, cabbage rolls and pies, pies, pies. Her many other talents included sewing, knitting, cross-stitching and cake decorating. She was a perfectionist in everything she did and loved the challenge of doing something new. She had the energy of 2 people and the rest of us would always marvel at how much she accomplished. Grandma "J" will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Daughter: Helen (Joe) Myndio, grandchildren: Janis (Dean) McLaren, Timythi Ober, Ali (Jon) Wright and Jackie (Myles) Fletcher, great-grandchildren: Teraneal & Nash Ober, Brenden, Morgan & Tanner McLaren and Ava & Gavin Fletcher.
She will be missed by her sisters: Toshiko Tsukishima, Irene (Eiji) Tsukijima, Kim (Kiyo) Nonomura and Kaz (Tosh) Kanashiro and also her nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Wesley, son John, father Sueo Kado, mother Masuko, brothers Kou and Keichi, sister Michiko and brother-in-law Sumeo Tsukishima.
A Celebration of Life will take place at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME - 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Deacon Cliff Bogdan officiating.

So sorry to hear that your mom had passed away. She was a lovely lady, always a smile on her face. I remember hearing about the wedding cake she made and decorated for my parents so many years ago. She also made my baptismal gown, which I still have. Unfortunately, will be unable to attend the funeral. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
